Abubakar Aziz
PhD Candidate · Northeastern University · Boston, MA
I'm a final-year PhD candidate in Computer Science at Northeastern University, where I build scalable systems and tools to tackle challenges in AI, web privacy, and security.
My research focuses on developing scalable tools to investigate privacy and security issues — building data pipelines with Apache Spark to process terabytes of web data, and performing large-scale analyses of how consent signals move across the internet. I study how organizations comply with (or fail to comply with) privacy regulations such as CCPA and explore how AI agents can make privacy governance more transparent and automated.
More than anything, I love building things from the ground up. Whether designing data pipelines, creating new tools, or exploring emerging technologies — I enjoy turning ideas into real, impactful systems. I'm actively seeking full-time roles in software engineering, privacy engineering, and systems engineering.
